Understandably, most people think of Honest Abe’s many other accomplishments, but another interesting aspect of this past president is his experience as an inventor. Helping the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium create a unique element for its display, we used the drawings from Lincoln’s patent to hand-build a prototype model of this buoying system he developed for large vessels.
