The Becoming Johnson County Museum is a thorough tribute to the historic and socioeconomic factors that shaped the communities of southwest Kansas City. Beginning with pre-Civil War events, the various displays highlight the incredible changes the county has seen, with a considerable amount of content focusing on the last 50–60 years. To maintain and round out that history, visitors are invited to share their own experiences through this interactive memory wall at the conclusion of the exhibit. Furthermore, they’re encouraged to live their lives in a way that helps the community continue on its path to a brighter future.
